My name is Mary Masterman, and this is my blog about the trip I am taking to Cameroon this summer. I will be traveling to Bangang, a small village near Mbouda, Cameroon. I am able to work on this project because I was awarded an internship by the Public Service Center of MIT.
Right now I mostly just want to use this blog to organize my thoughts... =)
So far my project is about water---specifically, irrigation for farmers there (water pumps) and possibly something dealing with potable water as well. The staff at ACREST are also interested in a pedal-powered washing machine.
My dad is helping me a lot, as he is amazing with all things involving engineering.
